The American Cancer Society (ACS) is the largest voluntary health organization in the United States dedicated to saving lives and ending suffering from cancer. The organization and its 3 million volunteers work every day to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays – a world where cancer never steals another year of anyone’s life. As a result, more than 11 million cancer survivors and countless others who have avoided the disease will celebrate another birthday this year.

ACS creates more birthdays and saves lives by helping people take steps to stay well by preventing cancer or finding it early; helping people get well by being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis with free programs and services; by finding cures through investment in groundbreaking research; and by fighting back by rallying lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight.

Thanks in part to the American Cancer Society and our dedicated supporters, 350 more birthdays are being celebrated every day that would have otherwise been lost to cancer. But we won’t stop here.
